We aim to foster in-depth discussions that transcend borders, addressing challenges and opportunities with regional and global significance.
The program will address critical areas, including the strength of institutions, democratic processes, drug-related issues, national security, immigration challenges, and promoting a prosperity-oriented culture. We will delve into the significance of education in advancing liberty, exploring innovative strategies to enhance our educational frameworks for societal improvement and increased prosperity. We will also examine economic and monetary topics, focusing on their effects on regional stability and development.
The conference will provide a unique opportunity to revisit and appreciate the rich heritage of liberty in the Americas, uncovering the depth of its roots and its enduring relevance in shaping our shared future.
We invite you to join this collaborative effort to discuss and identify strategies to advance a more prosperous and dignified future for all individuals in the Americas, anchored in the enduring values of liberty and responsibility.

WELCOME

Dear Friends,
We have some great news for you–Mexico will host a regional meeting of the Mont Pelerin Society on March 16-19, 2025.
The meeting’s central theme will be: “The new roads to serfdom: Rebuilding the foundation of prosperity and freedom in the Americas”. We want to discuss the issues that unite us as a continent.
Mexico is the 14th largest economy in the world and the second in Latin America. It is the U.S.’s largest trading partner, and it scores a trade surplus in this relationship. It is also the meeting point between north and south in the Americas. Migration, drug trafficking and attacks on institutions are consequences of this geographical situation.
Mexico City is a center of a complex historical culture. It was, as Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec Empire, and later it became the center of colonial New Spain. Since 1821 it has been the capital of Mexico, and it has become a vibrant modern city where history, art and gastronomy meet.
On behalf of the Program and Organizing Committees, as well as Caminos de la Libertad of Grupo Salinas, the host organization, we look forward to seeing you in Mexico to strengthen our ideas in the face of today’s problems.
